Ballot proposal for home rule passes by 4-to-1 vote
Now what do we call it? The City of The Village of Chelsea?
After 12 years of labor, a new city was born in Washtenaw County Monday night as Chelsea Village voters overwhelmingly approved a city charter and elected a new City Council.
The ballot proposal to incorporate a home rule city passed by a 4-1 ratio, ending more than a century of village status and creating Washtenaw County’s fifth city.
Sounds good to me.
