I will keep you updated. I know they would allow one, two, or three of the services at any time but it sounds like unless you have TV, the other two are a little more expensive, just like Comcast would do to you if you weren't a video subscriber. But whatever. So you could definitely not have the phone service if you didn't have a land line number that you wanted to keep. I think they have a discount if you have all 3 for a year, but it isn't that much.

HD looks fine compared to OTA and Dish. It is impressive to think that it's streaming over IP and looks as decent as it does. I guess my first reaction was it seemed a little more grainy or not as high quality as Dish / OTA, but I can't really say why and most people would probably say it looks fine. I have a 1080p 42-inch LCD and both Dish and U-Verse are hooked up with HDMI and don't look at that different. The Dish receiver is configured to output 1080i, and I think the U-Verse DVR is too.

Interesting. I'm curious to see what they do with your pricing if/when you drop the TV portion of it.

Do you know if they would allow TV and internet and no phone?

What does the HD look like compared to say OTA or Dish?
