Cool, many ArtPrize murals will remain after the contest is over.

But ArtPrize has proven to be a far-reaching catalyst that has permanently altered the face of several downtown Grand Rapids buildings and structures — changes that will remain for generations even if ArtPrize doesn’t.

I am glad that GR has some cool art to spruce up building exteriors. It’d be awesome if many other galleries will purchase some of the art on display in their venues so it can permanently remain. How awesome would it be if the giant table & chairs stayed on top of the blue bridge?

I hope that the murals and other artworks aren’t vandalized. I’m surprised there haven’t been any reports yet of anything being defaced, but maybe all citizens of this city are so proud of the event that they’re being respectful. I hope so anyway.
